Keep the Music Lose the Music
1.  Ralph G:  Keep 1. Dallas Couple: is there any way you can get rid of that stupid music on your home page so those of us with crummy dial-up connections do not have to suffer while the page loads?!!??!  PLEASE?
2. Avi A:   Keep the music. 2. Greg - Lose it.  Ever wonder why nobody else has music?
3. Monty M:  I am a regular visitor to the site, and quite enjoy the music. 3. Tommy H: L O S E   T H E   M U S I C !
4. Rad F:  Keep the music. 4.  Mike W:  I vote to lose the music.  I always turn my speakers down before I go to your site.  It's kind of annoying.
5. Bill G:  Keep the music. 5.  Paul B:  Lose music!
6. Rick A:  Keep the music.  It's your trademark. 6.  Scot J:  Please count my vote for no music.  I appreciate your work - keeping the heat on the city, I check your site every day and often print out your articles for others to read. Although, it's not as much fun without Go to Hell Kirk to laugh about.  Thanks!
7. Politicklish:  I vote to KEEP the music. It has a jazzy tempo, and it's upbeat. I like it!
Shouldn't the dog driving the car in your "Black Box" graphic be secured with a lap and shoulder belt? Or does the dog mistakenly believe he lives in a place that recognizes, values and protects individual property rights?
7.  Marvin W:  Lose the music.
  8.  Geeky R:  No more music!
  9.  BNLSpider:  Lose music
  10.  Phill L:  Lose the music
  11.  Philip E:  It was neat for awhile but it’s hard to keep from waking people up when you’re surfing at night.  It’s gotten to the point that I hurry to get off the page.

  12.  Richard A:  Lose it.
  13.   John B:  Wow!  I thought I was going to make it through the year without another election! I vote to get rid of the music.  Just don't get rid of the punchy content!
  14.  Mike S (Beaumont):  If living out of town disqualifies me, so be it.  I'm a transplanted Dallasite living in Beaumont TX for almost six years now.  Since I view your site daily -- I'd like to see you lose the music.  I enjoyed it the first few hundred times I listened but have decided I'm much more interested in the written content on your well done site.
  15. Terry W:  Get rid of the music.  Sometimes I forget my speakers are turned on, and it goes blasting across the office.  Oops!
  16. Tim D:  Lose it. I get busted at work when I log on, having forgotten to mute my speakers.
  17.  Jim G:  I wrote to you a couple of years ago to ask you to turn off the music and you said that only one other person had complained at that time. So, I am voting to lose the music.
Since yours is a political site and politics is all about compromise and occasionally doing the right thing, I would like to propose a compromise.
Just change your page so that the music doesn't play automatically but is available through a link at the top of your page. That way, you can keep both groups happy

Ward politics is the Devil's key to the soul of the city council.  It is how some council members got themselves in trouble in the past.  It is the bait that will get others in trouble in the future. 4/6/8
