Conf - 12:30 gather for 1:30 conf - Water Conservation Supporters:
Place: Trinity River Authority, 6500 Singleton, Grand
Prairie (off Loop 12) between stadium & I-30 before the local
Region C Water Planning Committee at 1 pm.
Folks from East Texas are once again busing in for this event.
NWF/our chapter Sierra ofc will be there.
Region D committee (E. Texas) is already submitting an amendment for
public comment to take Marvin Nichols off the water plan. However,
we need Region C to also ask for Marvin Nichols to be off the table as
well - to really get it off the water plan. Technically, C could
force D into this. We want to tell Region C to be good neighbors,
respect fellow Texans, use conservation and more
practical. less costly options than building reservoirs to solve or
problems.
We can't develop our way out of water needs, what we lose in land,
forest, wildlife habitat, is just too costly. It's an unnecessary
boondoggle project.
LET ME KNOW IF YOU CAN MAKE IT. Rita Beving, 214-373-3808 |
