D's comments on Truancy Courts
I appreciate Citizen D's comments
but "D" needs to know by law only certain courts may handle truancy,
such as Municipal Courts.
The DISD and County are picking up the tab for the 2 newly created city
courts.
You may recall certain JP Courts were eliminated last year. JP's may hear
truancy cases also.
Since these newly created courts will only hear truancy cases, the hope is that
by creating these 2 (maybe more later) specialized courts dedicated only to
truancy, everyone will receive more consistent, efficient service.
