Palladium Dollars !!!!!!!

To:  Dallas City Council, Dallas City Hall

SUBJECT:  The Palladium Vote

Reference:  Hearing---5-22-2002 / Subsequent Vote

Hello Council Representatives:

I hear from many citizens of Dallas asking for Arts District upgrades, others for Animal Shelter/ Control upgrades, others for  improvement of the Dallas core districts. Honestly speaking, I hear from NO ONE North of Hwy. 635 that wants more give always to the Victory area.  If a business wants to locate in the Victory area, let it pay it's way like the rest of us do.  My contacts include those in the business and construction disciplines.  Even they balk at this give away scheme.

The vote at hand appears to be some form of "forced issue" to provide more money to those who need it least.  If Dallas wants to give away $43,000,000, then let us spend it where it will satisfy best the Citizens who live here.  Taking away from the core business districts certainly won't help Dallas grow.  It will bring more emptiness than already exists.

Rad Field, District 11

Ward politics is the Devil's key to the soul of the city council.  It is how some council members got themselves in trouble in the past.  It is the bait that will get others in trouble in the future. 4/6/8
