11/18/03  From NW Substation Crime Watch Team

ATTENTION CRIME WATCH PARTICIPANTS :

Several weeks ago, the City of Dallas implemented the Lock, Take and Hide Public Awareness Program in an attempt to reduce the number of auto related offenses.

The program consists of a brightly colored sign that reminds people to lock their cars and take their keys and belongings.  These signs have already proven effective in the downtown area and with a little help from you we hope they will make a difference in the Northwest area.

The signs are 12" X 18" and can be purchased for $15.00 at the Northwest Police substation (9801 Harry Hines).  To view the sign please go to www.dallaspolice.net.  We are asking anyone that manages or owns property in the area to get one or two of these signs to help reduce these offense.

Ward politics is the Devil's key to the soul of the city council.  It is how some council members got themselves in trouble in the past.  It is the bait that will get others in trouble in the future. 4/6/8
