09/29/03 When do hear from
the FBI?
 |
It's been almost two years since
Brett Shipp, Todd Bensman
and Dave Michaels blew the lid off the
fake drug arrests and imprisonments. Todd Bensman's with Ch. 11 now,
Dave Michaels is covering the exciting doings at Commissioners' Court and
there's limited concern at Belo for keeping our dirty laundry out in the
open. Look how Belo buried Fantroy's conflict of interest with
those contracts from a developer in his district. Now, even the
Mayor is going to drop it! |
What would we do for news without Ch. 11?
 |
Not only is the fake drug scandal an issue of seeking information to avoid
something similar ever recurring, it is about justice for those
who were so wronged under Terrell Bolton's administration. |
Even
worse, we need to know the city's exposure in all this because those
poor Mexican Nationals and/or their lawyers are going to own a hunk of
our assets before this is done. There are going to be at least 24
new millionaires in Mexico before this is over.
Some DallasArena.com stories on the subject: Happy
New Year; Chief TB;
Mexico's Economic Stimulas.
Thanks to Jesse Diaz, Diana Flores, R.Lopez, Spinzone for keeping this atrocity
on the front burner.

Are
there any plans to have the same kind of meeting (DA) with the City
Manager and get his perspective, position or plans on the
drug scandal atrocity?
What about the FBI? Either having a press conference, march or
both in order to encourage them to finish their investigation? That
way the City can stop saying they are waiting on the FBI.
Maybe the plan is to hope everybody forgets if enough time passes.
There should be consequences for anyone who takes away another human
being's hope, rights and freedom.
It appears some individuals both appointed and elected are willing to
give up some of their liberty (as well as that of nuestra gente)
and integrity in order to survive, but as someone once said,
"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little
temporary safety deserve neither liberty or safety themselves."
Muchas gracias!!! Gracias a Dios, that there are still people out
there who care about injustices. |
It
is my understanding the DA and FBI have already met with representatives
of PURE and LULAC Council 4496. You can contact Diana Flores @
214-337-5150 (PURE) or Jesse Diaz @ 214-381-7777 (LULAC Council 4496) as
your idea about a meeting with the City Manager is natural next step
process which needs to be conducted.
According to sources, the DA has indicated interest in
conducting his own investigation once the FBI has finished their
investigation, particularly if DA Hill feels the FBI's
investigation did not produce a sufficient number of indictments related
to this issue.
According to sources, the FBI may soon announce additional
indictments. The possibility of these individuals talking may
produce interesting results. I don't see the FBI closing their
investigation within the next 90 days, but likely within 6 months.
In short, your idea of PURE, LULAC Council 4496 and any other
interested individuals and/or groups meeting with the Dallas City
Manager and immediately afterwards holding a press conference in the
City Hall Flag Room to give notice to Dallas citizens, the
City Manager and all City Council members that a thorough,
independent investigation must be initiated on the fake drug scandal to
address this issue and hold any and all involved accountable, regardless
of when the FBI concludes their investigation.
This investigation should NOT be internal, but should be conducted by
individuals with high integrity who have no connection to the
problem source. I assume your idea of "internal" is
investigating the internal aspect of How this crap began, Who knew
What and When and What was done or not done when who knew it, right?
Dallas citizens need to know this issue will not stay swept
under the carpet any longer, as it was when DPD high ranking and high
profile officials successfully slowed down possible protests and
inquiries of many Hispanic leaders and Hispanic organizations late
in 2001 and early in 2002.
I believe steps have already been taken (initiation of meetings with the
DA and FBI), but your suggestion on where to go next is excellent.
Since you showed up for the initial press conference on the racial
slurs, your input and/or presence would be appreciated.
With Bolton gone, it is not a surprise the DPD is now playing ball with
the background checks of all DPD officers. Although it represents
the tip of the iceberg, it is a beginning. |
