08/27/03  No thanks to Greyhound, but, Thank God, Bolton's gone!

Is it possible that Benavides finally tuned in to the fact that he could no longer protect that bungling, massively incompetent, pocket-lining, self-serving thug, that so-called "Chief" of the Dallas Police Department, Terrell Bolton?

Or is there a greater power at work here?

It's been obvious to me since I first heard the man speak on TV that Bolton was strictly a political suck-up with little or no skill in managing a big-city police department.

Now, the focus needs to be on cleaning house at City Hall -- beginning with Benavides himself and then a bunch of Council members. We all need to get behind our Mayor and encourage her to do some big-time ass-kicking. She's got the guts to do it, but I think perhaps she needs a little encouragement.

Today was a very good day for me and for Dallas...
