You are SO RIGHT about the Trinity project!  Why not just buy out the properties that will be nothing but a continuous problem in the future and make EVERYONE happy forever!?

Why?  Because even at $100,000 each for these homes, that is still less than $141M (even when you use "fuzzy math").  

Despite the so-called good intentions of people like Craig Holcomb who says that we would not displace residents in Cadillac Heights, if you knock on their doors and offer the kind of money that will get them a REAL HOME, they would move in a New York minute.

This is where ODB's could actually do some REAL GOOD.  THEY could buy the individual homes FREE and CLEAR, then turn around and DONATE the lots to the City for open space, redevelopment, etc. and EVERYONE would win!  All that they would be out of is lunch money for the week.  This is where a true "Committee of 100" could step up to the plate and do the RIGHT THING for a change.

This would also avoid the long, tedious, expensive process of condemnation thorough the City's process.

Now maybe we can challenge ODB's to actually be BETTER -- like actually prove it!  Imagine that.

But as I said when I began this letter -- "Don't get me started"!
