Arcadia Park Dreams |
 |
There is a new law enforcement presence in Arcadia Park now. They patrol the
elementary school and W. Davis street for motorists who are breaking the law.
The new law enforcers are made up of Sheriff and Police officers. We should give
some credit to Shirley Kelly (Missie), for all her hard work in at least getting
Arcadia Park a Constable assigned to our neighborhood. Missie and others have
literally put their life on the line for their community. We all know the
possible retribution for speaking out in AP. Despite the possible consequences,
some of us stride forward for a better life and better living.
Now a little Poetry:
The light of change is just now piercing the trees that line the AP
horizon. Not only can I see change?s light but I also feel its warmth. It?s
a good feeling. But at the same time the ?darkness? is constant and very
visible. Goodness will always beat Evil. It is the journey towards victory that
is the hardest to overcome and bear. On that road to ?peace? and
?justice?, many will falter and fall to the tumultuous battles. This is an
Odyssey, and in the end, I see us dining on slabs of beef and pork, wining and
dining, as we feast and celebrate our victories and remember our losses.
