I greatly appreciate the way you responded to those
so-called friends of Eddie Mac Welch.

The late Mr. Welch came
to Dallas and did the wrong thing. He pointed a weapon at some of my
fellow officers. |
As we know, the officers were well within their rights to
defend themselves. I know that if I were in that officer's position, I would
have done the exact same thing.
Their blind loyalty to a man bent on ending his life by any means is
understandable, but misguided. To accuse the
officer of being trigger happy and a murderer is way
out of line.
Ms. Blasingame stated Mr.
Welch would not hurt anybody. After all, he
played on 2 state championship
teams, worked for H-E-B and for Coca-Cola. Whatever
that means. Again, blind loyalty to a dead man.
These 2 "friends" of Eddie Mac Welch were not at the scene when his life
ended, and neither was I. However, I know to
never Monday Morning Quarterback the officers who
were there. Apparently,
the Blasingame's have never learned this vital life skill.
Again, thank you for all the support that you give the the Dallas Police and
Fire Departments.
