09/22/04 Who's fault was it?
I'm very sorry Pedro Fernandez died.
I'm sorry his kids had to see him arrested.
I'm sorry his kids had to see him beat their mother.
I'm sorry his kids had to see him sit around and get
no exercise and eat himself into 300+ pounds.
I'm sorry they had to see him high on crack cocaine.
I'm sorry their mother had to call the police and tell them ahead of time that
he was big and he would fight.
I'm not sorry the police put themselves at risk to save her and her children
from someone, who by all accounts, was a violent,
angry man.
Thank goodness they were willing to go to her aid when
she called.
Of course, those cops paid a price, they were on leave
for a month or so and couldn't work their second part
times jobs, the ones they must have in order to make
ends meet.
Now, Mrs. Fernandez can sue the city.
The city will cave in and settle. After her
attorney's cut, Mrs. Fernandez will make a nice
amount of money and probably marry someone exactly like Mr.
Fernandez.
The cycle continues.
