victims!
Re: John Hammerle - DISD Music Director
Around 1987, my spouse and I reported John Hammerle
to the insurance commission.
He was our agent for our son's car insurance.
My son went into a higher risk pool because of
his bad driving around age 17.
Hammerle got us his policy, which as you can
imagine was pricey.
We paid the money at Hammerle's office for the
premiums every six months. One day, when I needed some information from the
policy, I called the insurance company directly.
They told me my son never had a
policy with them. So, we were paying
Hammerle for nothing and were at huge
personal risk. That's fraud!
I knew Hammerle had been indicted but lost track of
what happened to him. When I saw
see Hammerle's picture on the news and heard
his name, I knew it was the same guy.
I am shocked that he was hired by the DISD where he
could get his hands on money again. Hammerle guy
appears to have a major character flaw! What was DISD thinking when they hired
him???
This is ancient history, and I don't think we have any
documents to prove it anymore. When this happened, we
lived in Plano as did Hammerle. As I remember, he
was the director of the Plano Community Band at the time as well as being an
insurance agent (but I don't remember stuff
that long ago as well as I used to.
Hammerle and others in the article are quoted as
saying he never hurt children. I beg to differ! My young son drove for many
months and possibly several years with NO car
insurance. That means my son had no legal protection
for himself, no medical protection for either himself or anyone he
injured and no coverage to repair his car or the cars
he might have damaged during that time.
Hammerle definitely could have hurt my
son.....to say nothing of us!
