05/20/04  Harry Hines Homeless Shelter - Word on the Street

Just when you thought it was safe and the new Homeless Assistance Center would not end up in N.W. Dallas effecting people also in North Dallas...   "Look Out"

Judith Anne Sturrock( Horrible Red), the ex-chair of the site selection committee and strong advocate to move the homeless anywhere but downtown is out telling anyone who will listen that she has $7 million from investors.

Did you really think the Wiesfield's and Loza connection would go away when there is $2 million to be made from the sale of the Harry Hines property, not including a perceived windfall for the South Downtown Dallas business owners? The same ones who have spent $50,000 in slanted studies to promote their cause. Line up the investigators and attorneys.

Target Harry Hines is still on the map.  It not a secret that some dept. heads in City Hall have also been behind the push and with that kind of money, it's no wonder not a single council member or the Mayor has come out and publicly said Harry Hines is out, period.

Behind the door dealings are in full swing.  It's a question if N.W. and North Dallas will be able to keep the Money Men and Horrible Red in Deep Ellum and Downtown Dallas from invading.

Editor's Comments:  Councilman Steve Salazar has warned us that some are still pushing the Harry Hines site.  He's still opposing it, and it's in his district.

Ward politics is the Devil's key to the soul of the city council.  It is how some council members got themselves in trouble in the past.  It is the bait that will get others in trouble in the future. 4/6/8
