02/20/04 Councilman is looking out
for NW Dallas
District 6's Councilman Steve Salazar copied us with
his inquiry about the allocation of new recruits and inquired why NW Dallas was
shortchanged. We appreciate his focus on our crime problems, as well as
his upfront opposition to compounding our situation with the Mayor's Day Spa for
Street Bums.
Ward politics is the
Devil's key to the soul of the city council. It is how some
council members got themselves in trouble in the past. It is
