My husband was not surprised by her reaction but is
disappointed that citizens seem to agree with her. There has been nothing from
any citizen criticizing her pathetic comments.
I have a feeling crime in Dallas may get a whole lot worse,
since no police officer in their right mind would put their life on the line
knowing he city won't stand behind them if they get hurt,
except for 13 weeks.
Dallas has exactly what it deserves. MEDIOCRITY!

Editor's Comments: Probably
no one has said anything because we are in shock at what the City is doing. I suspect more
letters have gone to the DMN, but
don't expect them to publish anything important.
Our Mayor is increasingly flippant in her comments. Last week, she dismissed opinions of hundreds of
former supporters over the
homeless shelter matter. This week she very likely turned off the rest
with her insensitive comment re the wounded
officers' plight.
It is shameful to treat our officers so shabbily.
Our Mayor says we saved a million by short-changing our personnel over
recuperation time after an on-job injury, but she thinks nothing of wasting $7
million to just acquire land for a day spa for street bums. She thinks
it's good to keep $1 million in the general fund by cheating our
personnel, but she solicits millions for a bridge to nowhere.
Does she feel no sense of responsibility toward officers shot in the line of
duty?
Our Mayor is acting more and more like Marie Antoinette! |
