01/27/04 Re: Lorlee Bartos'
Letter
That's a pretty disturbing
letter from Lorlee Bartos.
I thought she lived in District 7.
To me, it underscores what
DallasArena.com, she and everyone else is
saying -- if you don't live
in a district, but you can
throw rock across your fence and hit it, your voice doesn't matter.
That's the case in a lot of situations around
Exposition Park. We get a lot of the same from Maxine
Thornton-Reese. I can't fix my brain
to understand why some people are guided by these invisible lines of
separation.
I catch some flak from some of my neighbors because I'll
take the lead in worrying about what bad development (across the street
and in another district) might be going in. Whatever
happens in another district will have impact on my (or your)
neighborhood- good or bad, it will affect us one way or another.
