Dallas City Council member Dr. Elba Garcia?s refusal to clarify the issue of her family?s residency brings into question her integrity. District 103 voters have a right to know.

Councilwoman Garcia does know, but she refuses to answer and says the voters should ask her husband.  However, when her husband has been asked about the family?s residency, he labels voters' questions as political attacks.  

If it were not such a serious matter, the actions of this political couple might be seen as a comedic sleight of hand.

While Mr. Garcia is now relying on the courts to qualify as a candidate for District 103, the cloudy issue of dual residency leaves much to be said about this couple?s ethics and integrity.

The residents of District 103 deserve a representative whose residency in our district is unquestionable. Let us hope the courts agree.
