10/20/05   The Classic Bad Deal!!

I am no fan of Laura Miller.  That said, even a broken clock has the right time twice a day. 

The Hunt deal was a BAD DEAL from start to finish, and Mayor Miller was right to vote against it.  The sum total of the tax abatements we have handed out to the rich over the years could have gone for more and better City services as well as improved facilities like pot hole-FREE streets, maintained and repaired parks, and really good libraries.

Thanks for mentioning the Starplex disaster that Annette Strauss has cursed us with.  Has that facility EVER made any money for the City?  I don't think so!

For me, the sad thing is that most Dallas citizens do not have access to your website to know what is going on, so they are victims of the ignorance and lies spread by the DMN and others.
