My opponent has mailed a campaign
flyer that seeks to damage my good name and
reputation.
This is a false allegation, and I want you to know the truth. |
In 1986 the IRS filed a tax lien against me for taxes owed by my father. Since
I was in Texas and he had moved to New York, the IRS thought I was an easier
target. Rather than fight the IRS, I promptly paid
those taxes for my father.
These are the tactics of a desperate candidate who will say anything to
get elected. In addition to being false, it is this kind of campaign dirty
trick that cheapens our democratic system and creates cynicism among the
voters.
Actually, I'm surprised that someone with
professional pastoral training would lower himself to
such tactics.
In District 12, we respect honesty, civility and truth. I won't engage in this
kind of tactic. I believe that it is more important to talk about the issues
important to District 12 and to Dallas ? Neighborhoods, Economic Development,
Public Safety, Code Enforcement and our qualifications to serve District 12 and
the City.
If you believe as I do and live in District 12, I hope
you will go to the polls and cast your vote for me. If you
have friends in District 12, please encourage them to vote for me.
If you have any questions regarding this or any other matter, please feel free
to call me - 972-818-1212.
Editor's
comments: What has happened to Dallas? This is the second campaign
where false information from an incomplete investigation has been circulated
against a council candidate by an opponent. Hopefully, Mr. Fleo will spend
as much money correcting his mistake as he did distributing it. Otherwise,
Mr. Fleo should withdraw from the runoff race and go back to church for some
serious time in prayer and atonement.
