03/15/05 Identity of Al Lipscomb's backers is obvious.
THEIR STRATEGY WON?T WORK. The identity of Al Lipscomb?s backers is obvious.
I have never seen so many harsh reports from one network, Fox 4 in particular, than I have seen in the past two weeks on Councilman Fantroy. The timing, right around the time that Lipscomb announces his candidacy, is very suspect.
Even the method in which they frame the Fantroy questions and bait the interviewees into certain questions is suspect, even for a ?news? outlet like Fox. Fox has always been biased against the Black community, so I can?t fault them for living up to their reputation and landing a couple of low blows on one of our community leaders.
It?s obvious now who brought Lipscomb from
his slumber. In the public eye, it?s partially some
traitors in my community, who are of questionable repute themselves (Sandra
Crenshaw and others). Behind the scenes?
Lipscomb gave his word to a prominent local pastor that he would not run against Fantroy. In fact, he pledged his support to Fantroy as well. What your congregation tells you to do means nothing if you gave your word to someone.
There?s an old story about a boy who picked up a snake, and the snake bit him. The boy told his Dad about the bite and the Dad says ?why did you pick it up, you knew it was a snake?? That story applies here as well.
Councilman Fantroy keeps his word, at
least. That's more than I can say for Al
Lipscomb.
