03/15/05  Identity of Al Lipscomb's backers is obvious.

The goal of all of these Fantroy reports and pushing of Lipscomb into the forefront is a strategy to turn off Black voters from going to the polls in the Southern council districts.  The powers that be know these areas will overwhelmingly vote against the Strong-Arm proposal and send these rogues back into the bubble where they belong.  Without the Black vote, the Strong-Arm proposal could pass.  With the Black vote, the proposal goes down in flames.

THEIR STRATEGY WON?T WORK.

The identity of Al Lipscomb?s backers is obvious.

I have never seen so many harsh reports from one network, Fox 4 in particular, than I

have seen in the past two weeks on Councilman Fantroy.  The timing, right around the time that Lipscomb announces his candidacy, is very suspect.

Even the method in which they frame the Fantroy questions and bait the interviewees into certain questions is suspect, even for a ?news? outlet like Fox.  Fox has always been biased against the Black community, so I can?t fault them for living up to their reputation and landing a couple of low blows on one of our community leaders.

It?s obvious now who brought Lipscomb from his slumber.  In the public eye, it?s partially some traitors in my community, who are of questionable repute themselves (Sandra Crenshaw and others).  Behind the scenes?

I believe their funding comes from the ODB/ Park Cities rogues.  The same rogues who are behind the strong-arm mayor proposals.  I?m sure T. Boone Pickens would love for the strong-arm proposal to pass so he could sell his Texas Panhandle water to the city of Dallas.

You think the rogues couldn?t call Fox to dig up and report some dirt on Fantroy?  Think again.

Lipscomb gave his word to a prominent local pastor that he would not run against Fantroy.  In fact, he pledged his support to Fantroy as well.  What your congregation tells you to do means nothing if you gave your word to someone.

There?s an old story about a boy who picked up a snake, and the snake bit him.  The boy told his Dad about the bite and the Dad says ?why did you pick it up, you knew it was a snake??  That story applies here as well.

Councilman Fantroy keeps his word, at least.  That's more than I can say for Al Lipscomb.

Fox, leave our community leaders alone.  Payback and turnabout is fair play.

Ward politics is the Devil's key to the soul of the city council.  It is how some council members got themselves in trouble in the past.  It is the bait that will get others in trouble in the future. 4/6/8
