Dear Mayor Laura Miller,
I find it highly disappointing
to hear you say that The Guardian Angels are not welcome to Dallas. Well, In
fact I invited them to my neighborhood,

Where there were 3 murders, 1 rape etc in 2004. Mayor, it seems the Guardian
Angels are like my newly formed crime watch group (Arcadia Park Development
Group).
We walk or drive around my neighborhood (Arcadia Park) and report
crime. All we would have to do is sport some berets,
and we could be Guardian Angels, too.
The Guardian Angels should be
given a chance to show Dallas what they can contribute to our sky rocketing
crime rate. People are dealing drugs, stealing
cars and killing people in my small neighborhood.
I would like to invite you over to my neighborhood on a Friday or Saturday
night, maybe then you could hear the gun shots at night and
possibly witness a few drug deal transactions. After
that, maybe you'll have a
change of heart about people who volunteer their time to walk down dangerous
streets to report crime to the police.
With the Dallas Police over-stretched
and over-worked, they cannot provide my neighborhood
with a permanent beat officer as they did a few years ago.
The Guardian Angels along with my crime watch will make a difference whether
you invite them to the city or not.
The criminals have made Arcadia Park their home. I intend to do
whatever I can to get rid of them.
As a footnote, I would like to add that many of the neighbors in Arcadia Park
welcomed the Angels with arms wide open. They
even told them where some drug houses are.
The drug dealers also came out
-- as if their hornets nest was disturbed.
The Guardian Angels took them out of their "drug
status quo".
