Contributions by Belo Employee
The issue you raise about Ronda
Gibbons' contribution to a candidate endorsed by
The Dallas Morning News is serious.
Whether she works for The
Dallas Morning News, WFAA, or one of the numerous suburban papers owned
by Belo, she is still part of the media giant (Belo)
which dominates the media market in Dallas County. As a dominant provider of
information, Belo and its employees should be above reproach. If you are
a minister you should not preach morality on Sunday
and sleep with a mistress during the week.
A much bigger concern of mine is that
The Dallas Morning News endorses anyone.
They should stick to the facts and provide adequate
coverage about the elected officials and what they hope to do when elected.
The Dallas Morning News provides
two sections on Sunday about sports while barely
mentioning that there is an election on Nov. 7th. Ever since
The Dallas Times Herald
was buried by The Dallas Morning News,
the quality of our only daily paper has declined.
I finally cancelled my subscription in disgust due to the lack of relevance to
my need for accurate information.
