04/17/06 Connected use
their muscle against less affluent.
A sad and very emotional issue continues in
my neighborhood. The Ash
Creek Mobile Home Park (just down the street
from my own home) has been ABSOLUTELY falsely accused
of being a hotspot for CRIME.
THIS IS 100% FALSE! Our
area postman who delivers the mail there and a Policeman on
the Forest Hills Crime Watch also agree that this is not a CRIME spot
in our neighborhood!)
 |
|
I have
personally met many of the MHPark residents of
and feel very sorry that some in my
neighborhood have brought
false claims against these nice people. Among
those I have met living there are 2
school crossing guards, a hospice nurse, two musicians, a
photographer, a WW II VET and a Vietnam vet, several children
(some in Girl Scouts
and Boy Scouts) and
many members of working class families, as
well as retired seniors. |
Please let the leaders of your neighborhood
groups know that the high-crime claims
against the residents of MHPark are false,
and they should oppose the attempt to kick MHPark out
of the neighborhood!

|
A very small
group started the claims against MHPark and
got a report from the city to prove their claims,
using a report of every single 911 call that had
an MHPark address on it as
evidence of the amount of crime! One of many more examples - a
dead body was found on my street Barbaree a
few years ago. The 911 report used the
nearest address, MHPark,
even though the body was in a ditch on
Barbaree! The crime was
eventually traced to an out-of-state
person - having nothing to do with anyone on Barbaree or
MHPark. Yet,
in the list of crimes, this is still one used
against MHPark. Along
with gunshot reports, firework shooting, dirt bike
noise, suspicious persons along Highland Rd,
all were calls made by residents to REPORT
these activities! |
Also, some people are
sure MHPark residents are down there wallowing in
sewage due to a man who gave a report that there were
"leaking sewage pipes" at MHPark. All plumbing
issues have been taken care of.
There were 50 families there - plumbing
problems occur at any home, this man was not a Health
Inspector as some have lied about - but hired by the Dallas City
Attorney's office to make a check list of problems at MHPark.
His check list was not specific and was NEVER
given to the owner or the particular resident's home
with the problem.

These residents OWN their little homes, some need repairs and some have
done some creative "add ons" to make the little trailer homes a
bit larger, but they
are still trying to do their best to live in 300-500
sq. feet compared to some of the 3,000 sq. ft homes in our area.
They pay City taxes for these little
structures and do not want to be thrown out of
the neighborhood. |
Please support every effort to help them and
the owner have time to upgrade MHPark and make adjustments as
needed.
Do not support the effort to see them moved out of our
neighborhood by NOV. 15 - the current date set by the City, based on the
FALSE CRIME AND CODE claims.
The owner and the residents hope to win a Planned Development zoning
status from the Dallas Plan Commission at a May 11 hearing. The
PD would be to address upgrading needs and
improvements in MHPark with an approved period of
time.
