04/02/06  Illegal Immigration?

Tom Paine, Nathan hale, Patrick Henry, Paul Revere, et al, were considered by the British to be traitors, even to the extent that "THE REVOLUTIONISTS" were shot, to be killed, by the British military.  Among others, they founded The United States of America.

That accomplishment was acknowledged by the country of France with the presentation of The Statue of Liberty bearing the inscription, "...GIVE ME YOUR TIRED, YOUR POOR, YOUR HUDDLED MASSES, YEARNING TO BE FREE...".

Our honored Declaration of Independence begins, "...When in the course of Human events...".  Our Constitution states, "...All men are created equal with certain inalienable rights...".

I am a sixty-three year-old red-neck Texan who believes in the Constitution, The Declaration of Independence, and The Statue of Liberty.

VIVAN LOS ESTUDIANTES!!!"  Shame on our schools for punishing these young adults who have taken a stand for human rights.  If our system is to educate the young, let that system show the young how to demonstrate effectively.

Were it not for our REVOLUTIONISTS at Bunker Hill, our Volunteers at The Alamo, and all of of our wonderful soldiers who have served in all of our wars, we would not have the freedom to protest.  Thank them for their service and their love of country.

As for myself, "Give me liberty, or give me death",  and I will not "Give up the ship".
Give my Latino friends the breath of freedom.

If Prohibition was so wrong that the sale of alcohol was made legal, why can we not afford a fresh breath of freedom to oppressed people?

We send our troops in harm's way abroad to provide a "better life" for those people, but we want to criminalize those same oppressed people in our own country.

Ward politics is the Devil's key to the soul of the city council.  It is how some council members got themselves in trouble in the past.  It is the bait that will get others in trouble in the future. 4/6/8
