Poor Dave Neumann. How in the world can you put yourself in a position where you invite two people (Angela Hunt and Tom Leppert) via an e-mail; then send both parties an e-mail confirming their acceptance to the forum at Park in the Woods Recreation Center; only to later un-invite Angela Hunt? To top that off, Park in the Woods Recreation Center is a City of Dallas taxpayer funded facility. These Vote No! guys are basically doing their shenanigans on the backs of taxpaying citizens of the City of Dallas.
Looks like
Councilman Neumann stepped into some stinky stuff because Angela Hunt and Sam Coats
will be there tonight. She should be there.
She has her e-mail confirming
her acceptance from Dave Neumann in hand. Since the Park in the
Woods Recreation Center is a public facility, everyone who wants to attend
tonight can.
Can't say I'm surprised about the kind of lack of integrity Vote No! is showing in this campaign. Especially, when you consider the out in the open Vote No! biased support coming out of the City Manager's office without regard to Dallas taxpaying citizens. Angela Hunt and Sam Coats' attendance tonight will bring to light the stupidities of Neumann's actions and will most surely attract local media to this one-sided debate.
What an embarrassing
situation for Vote No!
You know, it would have been much better for Dave Neumann and Vote No! to have corrected their mistake and simply allowed for the forum at the Park in the Woods Recreation Center to take place with both sides invited as they planned to do initially. Dave Neumann is supposed to represent the citizens of Dallas and the citizens of District 3. Looks like Dave is simply being a water boy for the Vote No! side. The real zinger here is the bad publicity Vote No! will attract to themselves tonight. Hell, at this point, Vote No! should have both Ron Kirk and Laura Miller at Park in the Woods Recreation Center tonight and provide free popcorn to boot! Gehrig Saldaña |
