08/28/07 Response to
Allen Gwinn's Report on Dallas.Org,
DISD: No Mas Ingles
Spanish language education is for those
students whose parents wish to keep their offspring in
a permanent underclass of workers. America will
always need such laborers.
So, Spanish language education
serves as a defacto form of trade schooling.
If they were taught political science or economics in English,
their servility might be compromised.
This also insures that they will never read "Catcher in the Rye" in
the original and become malcontents.
So, Spanish language education, like illegal immigration, serves a
clear economic/political purpose = artificially low wages,
guaranteed votes for demagogues, etc. etc.
An ethnic underclass speaking a 2nd rate language for
generations. If that's what they want, who am I
to complain?
At least they aren't Irish. . .
