PRESS RELEASE

Date: May 21, 2007

Subject: Endorsement of Betty Culbreath for Dallas City Council, District 5

After thoughtful consideration, I have decided to endorse Betty Culbreath for Dallas City Council, District 5.  After conferring at length with Betty this past weekend and sharing with her the many priorities voiced by many within our community, my choice was crystal clear:

Betty Culbreath is the best choice for District 5.

I believe Betty's experience and selfless nature presents our city and our district with an excellent individual who indeed will bring a fresh, honest, and direct  approach to governance issues related to our great city.

Betty Culbreath will waste no time on a learning curve and immediately put her life-long expertise to work immediately serving the citizens of District 5 and citizens of Dallas.  Her commitment to be inclusive, along with her long-standing high integrity, is a welcome sight.  Her previous experience as twice Chair of the Plan Commission, Chair of the DFW Board, Director of Dallas County Health Department and her present position as Chair of the Dallas Housing Authority are clear examples of Betty's leadership skills.

Please join me in support of Betty Culbreath as the next council representative for Dallas City Council, District 5.

Your vote counts, d
on't forget to vote for Betty Culbreath on June 16.

Ward politics is the Devil's key to the soul of the city council.  It is how some council members got themselves in trouble in the past.  It is the bait that will get others in trouble in the future. 4/6/8
