Thanks for the kudos from Anonymouse (see Keep Looking), but Dwaine and I didn?t close that motel in Lawnview at I-30.  They were on our list but got foreclosed on by their private lender. The other motels, we?re responsible for closing.  I realize that prostitutes are still in the area even without the motel.  If he wins, we?ll address that. 

To Casie?s point, our Urbandale/Parkdale card and Piedmont/Scyene card talks about the development nicknamed ?Victorian Forestless Estates.?  Maxine likely told Casie, et al  to butt out because Gloria Hogg (Maxine?s choice for District 4) lobbied for that development at City Hall to get tree waivers at the Board of Adjustments a few years back.  They?re all tied in with Frank Geis.  Fighting that machine has been a trip this time around, but thanks for the support. 

Gloria is pushed by Maxine Thornton-Reese.  Eugene Thomas is pushed by John Wiley Price's clique. Gloria is also supported by Carl Raines, chair of the Police Review Board who voted to cut benefits for injured cops.

Food for thought.

As Dwaine?s campaign manager, if Dwaine wins I will personally make sure that we meet in short order with District residents in Parkdale, Urbandale, and Piedmont to see which issues are the most pressing.
