DALLAS LULAC COUNCIL 4496

Jesse Diaz Jr., Education Committee Chair     8127 Bruton Road, Dallas, Texas 75217

Office: (214) 381-7777

 January 30, 2007

Every single person and citizen who pays school and federal taxes should be alarmed at the way DISD is handling the ongoing investigation of the DISD credit card fraud scandal. DISD Superintendent Michael Hinojosa has navigated the district's credit card fraud scandal in a manner that gives validity and growing public opinion of an apparent disrespect for the rule of Law.

Superintendent Hinojosa's negotiated approach in determining which DISD employees are charged with a crime and which employees are disciplined for committing credit card fraud may prove disastrous and costly to DISD taxpayers.

Where do you draw the line?

W
ho draws the line on who gets criminally charged and who gets disciplined?

In times like this, DISD should apply the WWCKD (What Would Chief Kunkle Do?) philosophy, and put it into action to better serve the students, parents and taxpayers of the DISD.

Respectively submitted,

Jesse Diaz Jr.

Ward politics is the Devil's key to the soul of the city council.  It is how some council members got themselves in trouble in the past.  It is the bait that will get others in trouble in the future. 4/6/8
