Kent Fischer of The Dallas Morning News placed the blog post linked above. He had interesting links on Payton Wolcott's comments on the use public school district credit cards and on the Dallas Observer's piece on last week's civil rights lawsuit filed against the DISD.Both of these links indicate that public school taxpayers should take an interest in exactly what public school superintendents and public school administrators buy with their public school taxpayer funded credit cards. More to the point, when is the last time your public school trustee requested and/or demanded periodic, detail public disclosure of respective public school taxpayer funded school's credit card expenditures of the aforementioned public school bigwigs?
Secondly, seems it
was only yesterday when a sitting DISD school board member and DISD
public school taxpayer(s) had
to repay DISD taxpayers for a lawsuit filed over the Edison
School fiasco. More power to those
who sued if their lawsuit is deemed worthy by either the
presiding judge or jury. But,
who repays DISD taxpayers if this lawsuit winds up like the
previous Edison School lawsuit?
