This all started in 1997 when those idiots on our City Council -- except DONNA BLUMER and former councilman BOB STIMSON -- voted to subsidize two billionaires so they could  build a new playpen for millionaire athletes.

Mayor Ron, former and current council members and hordes of other liars claimed only tourists would pay this new tax.   Representatives from the car rental industry had showed City Hall folks their companies' records verifying that more than 70% of cars leased in our city limits are to Dallas residents.   Even with those statistics, Mayor Ron and his puppets continued the big lie.  Since none of them have recanted their position, guess they are still lying.

It wasn't just City Hall guys and gals who lied to us.   State Senator John Carona (who your editor mistakenly helped get elected to that seat) led the fight against a temporary 1/2? sales tax a few years ago to restore Fair Park.  John Carona served as Treasurer for the Yes! campaign and was a major spokesman for them.  He fought a 1/2? tax to restore Fair Park, located in a primarily minority community, but he moved heaven and sold his soul to give millions to two billionaires.  Any fiscal conservatives who would justify this socialism for the rich need to re-label themselves.

Ross, Jr. & Hicks spent almost $3 Million to our $100,000 and bought a 1,700 margin victory for their grand theft scheme.
