Here is the new billboard that is in front of our home office in Dallas.

It reads:

?LENDER WANTED?

We need to buy 1,000 GM vans now.

I put the billboard up because GMAC, our lender of 20+ years recently received both TARP and commercial paper loans from U.S. taxpayers.

GMAC insists their new GMAC Bank is prohibited by the government to finance vehicles. It sounds pretty hokey to me, but perhaps someone with connections can check on it.

I WANT TO BUY 1,000 GM VANS, BUILT BY REAL AMERICAN WORKERS, FOR MY REAL AMERICAN COMPANY THAT HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR 36 YEARS.

While I am glad the stimulus package may provide my remaining employees an extra $13 per week, may provide funds to restore a marsh in California for some kind of mouse or may build roads and bridges with Chinese steel and Mexican labor,

NOTHING GOOD WILL HAPPEN TO THIS ECONOMY UNTIL BUSINESSES LIKE MINE CAN BORROW MONEY!

Can?t the guys in Washington DC figure this out?
