3/24/10  Justice of the Peace Sepulveda's Original Petition

JP Sepulveda has over 40 affidavits backing up his petition.  Below the petition is a note from Jessica Sepulveda, his daughter (a lawyer).   I hate dirty tricks that taint elections.  If Judge Sepulveda prevails in this suit, it will go a long way toward cleaning up future campaigns in Dallas County.

When Steve Salazar and I ran against each other for City Council District 6, someone sent out an illegal mailer against me signed by the late Joe May, with Domingo Garcia's postage meter number on it.  Councilman Salazar knew nothing about the piece and refuted it.  He stood with me to root out the cheaters involved.   I fought back, and it was worth the effort.

As bleak as things look at times in this town with crooked politicians and crooked campaigns, you need to remember there are decent men like Luis Sepulveda and Steve Salazar.

I walked several miles with Luis Sepulveda to protest the lead pollution in West Dallas.  With his injured leg, he had to use a cane, but he was the leader of the march.  Really dumb of anyone to think he wouldn't fight back.

Ms. Boyd,

Just wanted to let you know that on March 18 we filed suit against Carlos Medrano, Elections Dept, and Bruce Sherbert.

In the petition we have FORTY THREE affidavits obtained from home ballot voters who had some form of voter fraud by voter harvesters (many specifically identifying the Medrano Family).

Quick Examples: illegal aliens who voted, deceased family members that voted, elder citizens who are told to sign an empty ballot, elder citizens who are told to vote for certain individuals and they would mail it for them, elder citizens who did not get to complete their ballot  and MAJORITY  of elder citizens NEVER even requested a mail ballot that somehow showed up in their mailbox the exact same day the harvester knocks on their door. (list goes on).

Since we have begun our efforts, we have had many generous volunteers who are helping us on weekends going door to door regarding the voter frauds.  The number has exceeded over 50 affidavits in merely two weekends from only ONE precinct area.  Now more than ever, we have written proof of the voter fraud that is occurring in our community.  It is absolutely disgusting how these senior citizens are being taken advantage of and we will not rest until someone FINALLY takes accountability.

You were right regarding JWP.  I addressed the Commissioner's Court last Tuesday where JWP stated that there were "only 6-7 complaints".   I quickly rebutted to him (a much needed surprise) that we "had over 40 affidavits from individuals who had some form of voter fraud; Now address this!"  JWP quickly stated my "time was up"; that I had "a clear bias as the daughter of Judge Sepulveda".  Where I recanted "Speaking of bias JWP, how about you address how you endorsed the candidate who is involved in this voter fraud".  Again...my "time was up".   He was dumbfounded and had no response, again.  I received many positive responses from the crowd who were quite unaware.

We are continuing the fight, and something tells me we have only hit the surface of such a huge hole of illegality in Dallas Politics.  Looks like the vote harvesters picked the wrong crop this time.

Thank you for your thoughts and if you ever want any of those documents feel free to let me know,

Kindest Regards
JLS

Ward politics is the Devil's key to the soul of the city council.  It is how some council members got themselves in trouble in the past.  It is the bait that will get others in trouble in the future. 4/6/8
